Our Story
Due to the difficult situation in 2007, as a result of domestic violence (reported to the Social Work Novi Beograd), in order to protect children I had to go to the tenants. I did not have any other resources so I needed to raise long-term loan (10 years) indexed in Swiss francs (only possible at this time with a longer repayment period) and only with a few necessary things, with the children leave the apartment (for which I had co-owned property with my husband) .
loan installment at that time was 7000 dinars, and now is the amount of 19,000 dinars, almost half of my salary.
In the meantime, my husband batterer destroys our common property and acumulates unpaid bills, and in June 2008, dies in someone else's apartment as a result of opiate overdose and alcohol.
After his death, we returned in our apartment, without being able to pay accumulated debts because of the loan to we wereand still paying off. I had an idea to sell my apartment, and buy us a smaller one, but keeping in mind that children are minors, and inherited one sixth of the apartment each, the relevant Centre for Social Welfare does not give consent(it is necessery if the kids are coowners of the real estate)for the sale on the apartment if I didnt have a preliminary agreement on the purchase of another apartment. (we have very strange law, they said its protecting children's interests, but i really do not see how)
Therefore, the survival of my family is reduced to a minimum, and not only that I am not able to pay off the debt of the previous period, but I'm not able to, from salary which amounts to 51,000 dinars, regularly pay our current obligations, because electricity and Infostan put aside about 20,000 dinars, as well as installment of our loan 19,000 dinars, so that for living is left almost nothing. I would particularly like to underline the expenses of the necessary food and supplies for diabetics, as well as books, notebooks, school supplies for for two pupils.
I do not have living parents, and close relatives who could help me.You are my only hope. Please help my children to grow up in dignity!
